Please read the following terms and conditions for your pets stay at Fur Tree Lodge, by signing the form upon your pets arrival, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions:

Appointment Times Late Fee (new for 2018)

  • Due to ongoing, consistent and extreme lateness of customers to arranged appointment times, I have decided I am now going to introduce a late fee.

  • If customers arrive 15 minutes or more late for their appointment, Fur Tree Lodge will add an automatic charge of £10 extra to the bill of the pets stay.

  • I am sorry to have to add this term and condition to my list, but I have missed weddings, birthdays and other appointments myself due to customers regularly arriving up to 4 hours later than their arranged appointment time. Thank you for your consideration and understanding regarding the reasons for this charge.

  • If I do not receive 48 hours notice to cancel the drop off of an animal, then the full fee of the stay, plus the £10 late fee charge will be charged. There will also be a small claims court fee of £25 for anyone who does not pay their bill. This is legally enforceable.

Payment

  • Payment needs to be made in full upon your pets arrival at Fur Tree Lodge.

  • If you are paying by cheque this needs to be done in full at least 10 days prior to your pets stay. A refund is only available if 48 hours notice is given.

  • I am unable to accept credit or debit card payments, bank transfers are possible. These need to be made at least 7 days prior to your pets stay.

  • If you need to cancel a booking, I request a minimum of 48 hours notice.

Vaccinations

  • If your pet is vaccinated you will need to bring proof of this upon your pets arrival.

  • I do accept non - vaccinated pets, but owners need to be aware it is at their own animals' risk.

Food/Dietary requirements

  • As a sudden change of diet can cause severe illness in animals, I do ask that you provide enough of your pets usual dry food to last for their stay.

  • If your animal has any medical requirements these can be catered for should full instructions be provided.

  • If your animal runs out of its normal food while it is staying at Fur Tree Lodge, then I will feed it my own food appropriate to the species.

Contract

  • You will be asked to sign a contract upon arrival where you will need to leave 2 emergency contact numbers, as well as details of your name and address and details of your holiday.

  • Please inform the people you choose to be your emergency contacts that this is the case, prior to your pets stay. They need to be aware that decisions may have to be made by them in the event of illness, injury or death within an animal, and that if circumstances change and the pet needs to be collected, they will have to collect and care for them. These circumstances are highly unlikely to occur, however preparation is better than panic!

  • Any information you do give me is totally private and will never be passed on to anyone else.

Emergencies/Vet care

  • I will contact your 'emergency contacts' to take your pet to the vet it is registered at, should one be required. This way the bill can be forwarded directly to yourself. If your pet is not registered at a vet, please register it at one of your choice before they stay at Fur Tree Lodge.

  • Fur Tree Lodge will not accept any responsibility for illness, injury or death occuring within animals either during or after their stay, as no animal will be neglected or ignored and emergency contacts will be called should a vet be required. Please be aware I am not veterinary trained, I am a pet sitter and will do as much as I can to ensure the welfare and health of your beloved pet during its stay.

  • Fur Tree Lodge will not accept responsibility in the highly unlikely event of loss or theft of your pet, as the area they are kept in has been secured as much as possible to ensure the safety of your pet.

  • No refund will be available should your animal become ill or go into the care of a vet whilst staying at Fur Tree Lodge.

  • The emergency contact details you leave MUST be of someone I can get hold of in an emergency situation, who has your permission to make decisions should your animal require the care of a vet. The emergency contact can be yourself, providing you are contactable at ALL TIMES. It is very important that in the unlikely event of a life or death decision regarding your pet or a veterinary procedure decision, it is NOT left to Fur Tree Lodge to make decisions. I will not be held responsible for anything that happens to your pet should your emergency contacts be unreachable.

  • One of your emergency contacts MUST also be in a position that in the very unlikely event it becomes impossible for Fur Tree Lodge to continue the care of your pet, they can come and collect your pet and take responsibility for it themselves. Please note the circumstances for which this would happen would have to be extreme!

Non - collection of pets

  • Any animals not collected within 48 hours of the specified collection day will be passed onto animal control and will no longer be under the care contract of Fur Tree Lodge, unless alternative arrangements have been made for the collection of your pet.
