I couldn't seem to able to find a hutch large enough for my rabbit, or one that was made of stern enough material that it would last. As well as being disappointed in the quality of the rabbit home, I was also finding I was paying a fortune for this lack of quality and inhumane space.

Did you know that the minimum recommended size of hutch for a single rabbit to live in by the RSPCA is 6ft wide by 2ft deep? Yet very few pet shop hutches actually meet this requirement. Most of them are very small.

Perhaps your rabbit or guinea pig struggles to use a ladder and you would like a floor level hutch with a run out of the front of it? No problem. The hutches will be built, treated and felted to your exact requirements. They will be built with tongue and groove, fully waterproofed, have a sloping roof and will be built of heavy duty and thick materials, so that they last for years and years to come! Simon Gambling is a 32 year old bovine farmer from Hilton in Derbyshire. He is a compassionate, understanding and patient person with excellent customer service and people skills. He is also an animal lover at heart and understands the need for only the best accommodation and care for all creatures great and small.

He is an experienced and skilled wood worker, able to design and build hutches to a high and professional standard. He is a self proclaimed perfectionist and will consult with you on each step of the build of the hutch you have ordered from him, so that you recieve a perfect product that meets only the highest of standards.

Simon will provide you with a computerised to scale image of the hutch before he starts to build it, so that you can approve of this and go on with the order if it meets your requirements. Any changes you wish to make from this can be done on the image, at no extra charge, so you are completely happy with your final design and build.

Payment needs to be made in full before the building of the hutch begins.

Simon is also able to design and make quality chicken houses, coops, bird boxes, bird tables and other animal friendly wooden homes that you may be interested in, whether for yourself or as a gift for a family member or friend. Above you can see an example of some of the bird boxes Simon has handmade for customers in the past. They are heavy duty, good quality bird boxes that can be made for specific breeds of wild British birds. Prices of bird boxes (and all products) are extrememly reasonable.

This shows the beginning build of a shed interior that Simon designed and constructed himself to house 50 of his own chickens. The materials he has chosen are high quality and heavy duty and this shed will last his chickens for many years, hopefully decades to come.

Simon designed and built Clover Cottage to my spec and I was incredibly pleased with the results. The timber is exceptionally thick and sturdy, the whole hutch is built using tongue and groove, and I am ordering more from him later on this Spring.
